About Me

Well hello there and thanks for stopping by! I'm Carly, I'm 22 and I live in a little village just outside Bath, in the UK.

I graduated from Bath Spa university last year, where I studied Creative Writing and absolutely adored it. I've always been a writer so to be able to spend three years writing full time was fantastic. Since graduating I've had a few articles published in national magazines (and some beauty reviews in Now) and I regularly freelance for a couple of magazines. I'm also a book reviewer and I write for a few websites and publications, as well as on my own blog.

Beauty has always been one of my passions and I'm definitely guilty of hauling far too much make up and nail varnish. Oh well. What's a girl to do? At least now I can use the old beauty blog excuse to fund my make up habit, happy times.

So, writing and beauty aside, what other interests/activites fill my days? Yes, all of the below float my boat:

- Betsey Johnson
- Pearl earrings
- My gorgeous border collie puppy
- Reading YA fiction (drugs and sex included please)
- Cheese
- Anything directed by John Hughes 
- Obsessively alphabetising everything I own
- Horror films
- Festivals
- Crappy but awesome TV shows (think Toddlers and Tiaras and you're not far wrong)
- Going to Florida once a year to spend obscene amounts of money in Forever 21
- Hairbands with bows on
- Still banging on about Lost, even though it finished months ago
- Actually, most things with bows on
